Video: Exploring the Squarespace Enterprise Dashboard

Video transcript:

You can manage all of your organization’s websites, domains, and contributing team members with our Enterprise controls dashboard. Here’s how it works.

When your business first purchases an Enterprise plan, your Squarespace account manager will add your first team administrator to the organization. They can then invite more members to join. Each member has an organization role, which dictates the actions they can take.

Team administrators can access and edit all organization-owned websites, create and publish sites, and manage other members. Team members can access select websites and create trial sites.

Team administrators can assign site-level permissions to other team members for each site in the organization, ranging from Admin, Website manager, Website editor, or None. To give an enterprise member a more specific, site-level permission, click on Show More.

The dashboard tab shows every site in your organization where you have site-level permissions to view. You can identify each site by its preview image of the homepage or its site title.

To start a trial site, click Create Website. If you’re ready to activate and publish an enterprise trial site, navigate to your site, click on the ellipses icon, then Activate Website, and then Activate. Make sure to change the site’s availability to Public to make it accessible to all visitors.

The Squarespace Enterprise dashboard empowers you to manage all your brand’s websites in a single place. Admins can simply log in with their account information or SSO to see all sites that fall under their organization.

Clicking titles takes you to each site layout to make edits, and all sites stay in trial mode until expressly activated. Admins can do this by clicking the ellipses button followed by the Activate Website option. Sites aren’t publicly visible or billable until activated, which gives your team freedom to experiment risk-free with as many trial sites they need.

Another feature exclusive to the Enterprise dashboard is the ability to launch organization templates. To set the standard for your company’s site creation, simply build a site with your desired attributes and click Convert to Template. This makes it available for your teams to access and customize when they create a new website—they can find it by selecting Start With Organization Templates.

The Squarespace Enterprise dashboard is built for growing businesses with scaling content needs. Let us know if you have any questions, we’re always here to help.
